The in the spring of 1996, shortly after having been bought at a local
nursery. It was cut at the nursery to the height shown.

After some initial pruning to establish some shape, and prior to
planting in a more suitable growing pot.

Fall of 1997 - time to prune, needle-pluck and wire.

Fall 1197

After completion of the above tasks.

August 1998

June 1999 - New buds breaking as a result of the work done the previous Fall.

June 1999 - New buds breaking as a result of the work done the previous Fall.

August 1999 - The tree is starting to fill in again.

October 2000 - Almost time to have another round of pruning, needle
plucking and wiring.

October 2001 - Definitely time for another round of pruning, needle
plucking and wiring.
